What stays as it was
Every piece of text is either translated or left as it was. Nothing is taken off the page.
Scanned pages
Scans and photos saved as PDF are read from the image. Only the words are replaced: the English below sits on the same scan, with its watermark, and you get a page back, not plain text.
QR codes and barcodes
QR codes, barcodes and verification codes are left exactly as they are, so they still scan.
Stamps and signatures
Stamps and signatures keep the original's pixels. Text you can read in a stamp is given as a translator's note, like [Stamp: SAMPLE.] here.

Tables and columns
The translation goes back into the same cells, rows and columns. Can you translate a scanned document?
Yes. Scans and photos saved as PDF are read from the image. Only the words are replaced; the rest of the scan stays, and you get a page back, not plain text.
Will stamps and signatures change?
No. Stamps, signatures, QR codes and barcodes keep the original's pixels. Text you can read in a stamp is translated as a translator's note.
Can I change the translation?
Yes. Click any sentence on the translated page, change it, and the page is laid out again. You can undo a change, then download the translation alone or side by side with the original.
How are pages counted?
One PDF page is one page, scanned or digital, and every page of the file is translated. A PDF can have up to 20 pages and 50 MB; split a longer one and upload the parts.
How do the free pages work?
Every account gets 5 free pages once, at sign-up. They never expire, need no card and carry no watermark.
Is my file safe?
Your file and its translation are deleted 30 days after upload, or sooner if you delete them. They are not used to train AI models.
How long does it take?
A one-page document usually takes a few minutes; a long one can take up to an hour. You can close the page; we email you when it's ready.
Will the office accept it?
That depends on the office. LangTo is not a certified translation; if yours asks for one, a certified translator can review and sign it.
